Information about The Weeds Are Alive!

SUMMARY-
The goal of this game is to kill the weeds in your yard that have mysteriously come to life.
Just watch out for the angry weeds, they bite!

GAMEPLAY-

In random locations on the screen a weed will pop out of a hole it creates, and you need to squash it,
killing it and turning it into a ghost that disappears upwards.
If you don't hit it in time it will retreat back into the hole after sticking it's tongue out at you in satisfaction.
You get 100 points for killing weeds, however this can increased by gaining a multiplier which grows when
you hit multiple weeds within a short time span, and can reach a maximum of 10.
When your multiplier reaches the max, each hit you continue to string afterwards charges an 'Energy Strike'.
This will strike a larger area of weeds, and can also destroy angry weeds.
These angry weeds appear occasionally, and you do not want to hit them. If you hit it in this state you will
lose 500 points times your current multiplier, lose a life, and it won't be killed like the others.
As time progresses the rate in which weeds pop-up will increase, steadily increasing the chance of you
accidentally hitting an angry weed and losing those points.
Also you will start to see power-ups appear, which you will be able to collect and they will be stored on right
side of the screen. When you wish to use them you can click the button below them to use the latest one
you gained (note that you can only use one at a time).
There are 4 modes within this game you are able to play, and after either dying or completing each one
you will be able to keep track of your scores in the highscore table accessible from the main menu,
to challenge yourself to try and do better each time.

ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF THIS GAME-
This originally started out as a simple loading screen game for a silverlight application we are currently developing.
However, when our programmer let on that the new windows 7 phone's were silverlight compatible, it was quickly
decided that we might be able to expand the game as a promotional item to hope to gain attention upon this
game and pull it over to Infinite Galaxies, our game creation project being developed with silverlight technology.

4 gameplay modes-

#Challenge

In this mode, you have a certain amount of 'lives' that you loose when you hit the angry weeds.
If you loose all your lives, you will die and the match will be ended.

#Timed

Unlimited lives, you just have to try and get the highest score possible in the chosen amount of time.

#Do or Die

Only one life. Try to get the highest score you can with out the aid of any power-ups or energy strike.

#Freestyle

Unlimited lives. Just relax and enjoy the satisfaction of killing these weeds.

Local HighScore-

You are able to keep track of the highscores you achieve in each of the modes.

Multiplier-

If you continue to string an amount of hits together upon the weeds within a limited time between each one, you are able to grow a score multiplier to x10.

Be careful however, because if you hit an angry weed you will loose 500 points time the current multiplier, and the multiplier will end.

Energy Strike-

This is an attack that is gained after accumulating an amount of hits upon weeds while your multiplier is maxed to x10. You can 'arm' the energy strike, making your next strike hit a much larger radius of enemies than normal, by pressing the 'arm' icon that will appear in the bottom left of the screen when it is charged.

Power-Ups-

Throughout the game random power-ups will appear which you are able to squash to 'gain' them as a token on the right of the screen. When you have gained a power-up you can press the button in the bottom right of the screen to activate your latest powerup and wreak havok upon the weeds.
