Support us - how you can support the project
- How you can support us for free - For this project to be successfully completed, it's necessary to receive financial support, however even if you can't do that yourself, there are many ways you can contribute still. Like any project, we need people to know about us. When you mention this game creator to more people, it will expand our audience to those that may help us financially, or like yourself, tell their own friends and people they know about us. It is vital that we get as much support as we can. So It would be greatly appreciated if you share our website and information about our project with anyone you can. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - How you can support us financially - Every day of development on this project comes with costs, so financial support is truly needed to continue development. In all honesty at this moment we do not have enough money to complete the entire project, so we need to ask for financial support from those who can offer it. This would of course be a huge help and appreciated greatly, but due to the nature of the beta testing being for the purpose of allowing everyone to test each feature and give feedback as well as report possible bugs, we cannot give you any exclusive game creator features yet. What we -will- offer to early supporters though, is described below. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Benefits of early financial support - Optional Payment : $5usd (per month)(only available until Open Beta stage) This is an optional, and very much appreciated payment before the creator reaches 'open beta' status of development, where you are able to support the project by paying $5usd each month. NOTE: If you purchase 6 months of subscription you gain $10 off As we really appreciate this especially in early stages of development where we need this kind of support to be able to continue the development of the creator, if you subscribe for a total period of 6 months (does not need to be in a single payment) before the creator reaches open beta, or you have donated for the month which covers the open beta release (you are subscribed when open beta is released), you will be able to purchase all future priced plans for 50% off. Don't worry, using the creator is still free, however there are some extra's that will cost, for example - being able to sell your game commercially. How much else will cost extra really depends on what can be afforded, but we promise it won't be a lot. We want people to be able to enjoy making fun and deep games for free, and help our community grow. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Payments - INFORMATIVE NOTES ~ Please read - NOTE #1 - The prices of these packages, and what you will have access to, are based on current requirements for funding the project and may change in the future. - NOTE #2 - Making monthly payments towards us works differently compared to normal 'subscriptions'. We aren't going to lock you into a monthly contract which you would have to cancel to stop paying. You choose how long you want to support us by paying for that amount of months. As an example for the optional support described above, if you payed us $15, you would be subscribed When purchasing a subscription you will choose your amount of months. For example, you could choose to subscribe to us for 2 months, which would cost you $15. You could also, subscribe to us for 6 months, which would cost you $35($45 covers $7.50 payments for 6 months, and you get $10 off for purchasing a subscription of 6 months). - NOTE #3 - Before you wonder why we have a monthly payment for the advanced features below, I'd like to explain it. The reason for this, is because as this project will last indefinitely as long as we have the budget and resources to continue improving it, payments each month is more stable than a single payment, because there will be fluctuations and drops in budget if everyone only pays a single price for access. However this can be advantageous to you as well, it gives you the option to have a look at what additional features you gain with this package, without having to pay a large fee for permanent access. Also everything you add to your game while you are subscribed, will still be in your game and completely functional after your subscription ends, it's just that you are unable to add new advanced functions. So you could plan your project to get all the advanced features done within a single month and save the cost of paying for a larger package. Payment#1 : Free What you get? - You will have access to the creator, however you will only be able to use 'simple' and 'standard' program functions, with no access to the advanced functions and a few features will be restricted/unavailable. (The amount of features restricted will be determined at the release of Infinite Galaxies V1, and will depend on the financial situation at the time of release). Payment#2 : $15usd (per month) What you get? - This is a payment option available after reaching open beta. You will have access to the new 'advanced' functions being added to the project. - If you subscribe in a single purchase for 6 months, you will save $10. - If you satisfied the conditions in the $5 pre-open beta plan, you will be able to have access to these features for 50% off. (In this case you will save $10 still as it is reduced from your payment after the 50% off calculation). Payment#3 : $50usd (single payment) What you get? - This is a payment option available as soon as the programming required to allow developers to export a functional marketable package of their game that doesn't require visiting our site (or using our server to run it) is completed. With this you will have paid for the license required to be able to sell the games made with Infinite Galaxies and export them to an individual package you can sell/market. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Example payment situations - What is this? Here I am describing possible situations that a client using this game creator may be in, and what packages you could take advantage of to get the best result (note: these are just examples). Thought it might be helpful to illustrate different ways people might use these payment options. Situation#1 : ClientA ------ The situation ClientA doesn't wish to pay any expenses towards the game creator, but they still want to support the project in some way. - Suggested Solution Tell friends, or mention the game creator in social sites or wherever it might be relevant, spreading word about this project, and helping greatly with the possibility of reaching someone who may be able to financially support the project and help it's development continue. - Outcome This has helped spread word about the project, and reach a larger audience, some of which might be able to help the development by supporting us financially, with which we are still grateful towards you for. Situation#2 : ClientB ------ The situation ClientB isn't sure what they will want to do with the game creator, however they are interested in the project so they want to support it. - Suggested Solution ClientB purchases 2 months subscription for $15usd. - Outcome This has helped the project continue it's development, and if ClientB is happy about the direction the project is moving in, they can just pay $15 for 3 more months and gain the future ability after open beta to only pay 50% on any of the payments. Situation#3 : ClientC ------ The situation ClientC has been using the free version of the game maker to build his game and now want's to be able to sell it commercially. - Suggested Solution ClientC can just pay for payment#3. - Outcome This means even though they didn't make any payments for advanced features, they are now able to freely market any games they make in the future. And if ClientC would like to be able to use advanced features in the next project, they only need to pay for the months that they need it, and will still be able to sell their second game at the end of it without any additional payments. Situation#4 : ClientD ------ The situation ClientD is very interested in Infinite Galaxies ideals and possibility so is determined to get everything they can for this game creator. - Suggested Solution Before open beta, ClientD could pay the $35 for 6 months, and then after-wards the purchase of another 6 months will still have cost them less (with their now 50% off all costs) than having waited until after open beta starts to pay for 6 months. ($35 for 6 months with 50% off, $80 at normal price). And with that length of development time on a project, they could then purchase package #3, to be able to sell their project commercially. - Outcome What this achieves, is it gives much needed support to the project during it's earlier stages of development. But not only this, because ClientD purchased those 6 months subscription, they are able to purchase payments in the future after open beta starts for 50% off. This means in total they were not only able to support the project, but save $10 off the first 6 months subscription during open beta if including the subscription before open beta, a total of $35 saved if including the amount saved on the purchase of package #3. So you realistically get your money back that you first spent and will continue to save in the future as the Infinite Galaxies game creator grows and expands, and you can subscribe for 50% off. disclaimer: prices are subject to change, however if you have supported us with 6 months of subscription before the open beta stage of this projects development and gained 50% off all future prices, whatever the prices might change to, the factor of saving 50% will *never* change. |
